Overview
Patient Diary: Health Record ("the app") is developed and published by Patient Thread Ltd. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is stored, and how it is used.
The short version: your health data stays on your device and your personal iCloud account. We never see it, collect it, or share it.
Data We Collect
The app allows you to record personal health information including:
- Blood pressure and pulse readings
- Blood glucose levels and insulin doses
- Body weight
- Oxygen saturation and peak flow readings
- Fluid intake and output
- Symptoms and severity scores
- Medication names, doses and reminder times
- Appointments and health reminders
All of this data is entered by you and stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
iCloud Sync
If you have iCloud enabled on your device, your data is automatically backed up and synced via Apple's CloudKit service to your personal iCloud account. This sync is governed by Apple's own privacy policy and terms of service. Patient Thread Ltd has no access to your iCloud data.
Data Sharing
We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal or health data with any third party. The app has no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no external data connections of any kind.
The PDF export feature generates a document on your device which you may choose to share with your healthcare team. This sharing is entirely under your control.
Notifications
The app uses local push notifications for medication reminders and appointment alerts. These are generated entirely on your device. No notification content is sent to our servers.
Critical alert notifications (used for time-sensitive medications) require your explicit permission and are processed locally on your device only.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your Rights
Because we do not collect or hold any of your data, there is no data held by us to access, correct or delete. All data can be deleted by removing the app from your device. iCloud data can be managed through your device's iCloud settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this URL. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
